The Typhidot IgG test is a key part of your fever panel. It specifically detects the long-term "memory" (IgG) antibodies your body produces after an infection with Typhoid. A positive IgG result confirms you have been exposed to the bacteria at some point in the past, or that you are in a later stage of infection. Note: For a complete and accurate diagnosis of a current fever, this test is almost always combined with the IgM test.
